Alyssa’s specialities include stage combat, stunts, comedy, and a love of Shakespeare. She loves the bard so much, she TA’d her college’s Classical Verse course.
She first learned stage combat under Fight Master Michael G. Chin, with her introductions to Rapier & Dagger, Broadsword, and Knife. She also has much experience with being a Fight Captain, serving in the position for the Strasburg Railroad Entertainment’s 2021, 2022, and 2023 stunt productions.
Alyssa has worked in theatre education since 2011, starting as a summer camp counselor for the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre’s Broadway Bound summer camp program. Since then she advanced to intern and then to co-director of the camp program, which expanded from week long camp sessions to include winter sessions, cabarets, masterclasses, and children’s theatre productions on the main stage. This upcoming summer she will be directing SpongeBob the Musical, Youth Edition, at there.
Alyssa works as the choreographer for a local high school, and has so far done The Addams Family and Beauty and the Beast for them. On top of being a choreographer for the school, she is also a substitute teacher and has full clearances to work with children in Pennsylvania.
