Brian Mueller

Local to Lancaster since 2021, Brian Mueller is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, actor, teacher and director. Brian is a member of Actors’ Equity Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and the American Federation of Musicians Local #294, where he serves on the board. Brian began teaching private lessons on piano, guitar, voice, bass, and music theory in 2005. He personalizes instruction to meet student goals and helps his students achieve amazing things! Some of his students have gained entry and/or scholarships to Berklee, Marymount Manhattan, Westminster Choir College, and Grove City College. Others have learned to read music, audition successfully for their school’s musical productions, accompany themselves on an instrument while singing, or even just to gain the confidence to sing in front of others!

Brian’s teaching is informed by a wealth of professional experience! Professional stage credits include: Carl Perkins in Million Dollar Quartet (Media Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse); Eddie in Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (CATCo/Porthouse touring co-production); Jim in Pump Boys & Dinettes (Theatre in the Circle); ensemble for shows at Fulton Theatre (Ragtime in concert), Cleveland Play House, Great Lakes Theatre, Dobama Theatre; and Mr. Pinkerton in Pinkalicious and The Musician/Music Director in Dot and Ziggy (both at Emerald Coast Theatre), among others. As a pit musician: banjo/mandolin/ukulele (sub for national touring company of Chicago), guitar for Beehive: The 60s Musical, guitar and sub piano/MD for Mamma Mia, all at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, where Brian also once covered the guitar, bass and keys/conductor chairs for Rock of Ages in the same COVID-stricken week! Also pits at Prima (Off the Yellow Brick Road, Illumination), Gretna (Honky Tonk Angels), Servant Stage (Fiddler on the Roof), plus more high school productions of SeussicalLittle ShopGodspell, Mamma Mia and Matilda than you can shake a stick at.

Brian is also an experienced church music director responsible for leading both traditional and contemporary worship. He likes to arrange, orchestrate, and transcribe music. His favorite roles ever: Dad and husband!
