Who is CPS?
Started by Sarah Cope and Jessica Dey in 2016 and currently owned and operated by Caleb Heckman since January 2024, Creative Pursuits Studio exists to assist all artists, teachers, and theatre companies in giving them a safe, beautiful and clean space to teach, rehearse, and continue their craft. Lancaster is full of artists who often need a space to rent by the hour where they can feel at home to teach others and further their talent.

About the Owner
Caleb Heckman has been a part of the CPS community since August 2020, teaching piano and voice. He has enjoyed having the opportunity to interact with his fellow teachers in this environment and to grow his studio over the last few years, and is now thrilled to have the chance to continue offering that opportunity to others at the helm of the studio. When not teaching, he’s oftentimes involved in theatre as a performer, music director, or accompanist. With what free time he can find he enjoys trying bizarre ice cream flavors, collecting and practicing more and more instruments, and playing the odd video game.
